My, it’s been a number of years since I picked up the needles. I’ve made a few baby mitts and hats since 2009 when I stopped knitting.
But lately times are broke and I picked up the needles for Christmas. I made a felted slipper that was a disaster. Gauge, gauge, gauge! I completely forgot that lesson if I ever learned it in the first place. Then I made a hat that was too big. FYI: 6.5+ inches of diameter is not a good idea.
At that point I was done being magnanimous and made myself some leg warmers that turned out quite nice and they actually do warm the legs. Who knew? I always thought leg warmers were aesthetic.
Next on the agenda are socks and a sweater.
